I believe that “if mother is well, all is well”. This may sound simplistic but many women do not look after themselves as well as they look after their children. This leads to stress, anxiety, overwhelm, depression and even burn-out. Most importantly it robs mothers of joy in the everyday – they are literally losing themselves in motherhood.
I created the Tough Mothers programs after my own experience of putting myself last. I thought I was doing the right thing by my family but in fact I was completely lost in motherhood, and nobody was benefiting from it. Least of all me. Read more about my story HERE
Our Tough Mothers programs focus on mothers putting themselves at the top of their life pyramid (no, this is not selfish, it is imperative!). By applying the phenomenon of self-directed neuroplasticity – the ability to change your own brain – our programs utilise neuroscience, psychology (I have a degree in Psychotherapy too) and philosophy to support women to rewire their brains and create the life they love to live.
